Privacy Policy

GodotIQ is a local-first developer tool. This page is the honest, plain-English version of what we collect on the website, what we collect in the MCP product, and what rights you have to control it.

What we collect on the website

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which pages matter to people. GA4 is configured with anonymize_ip: true. GA4 is only loaded after you click Accept on the cookie consent banner. Without consent, no GA4 script is fetched, no GA4 cookies are set, and no requests are made to Google. We also do not run GA4 when your browser signals Do Not Track.

For more detail on what the MCP product sends (vs. what this website sends), see How licensing works.

What we collect in the MCP product

Nothing. Your Godot project files stay on your machine. We do not collect per-tool telemetry. We do not collect project paths, scene contents, script bodies, error messages, or usage counts from inside the MCP. The only outbound traffic from the MCP is license validation with Polar and a signed bundle fetch from pro.godotiq.com — both documented in How licensing works.

Cookies

The cookie consent banner appears on your first visit. If you click Accept, Google sets standard GA4 cookies (_ga, _gid). If you click Decline, no cookies are set. You can change your choice later by clearing localStorage for this domain; on next visit, the banner re-appears.

What we share

We don't sell or rent personal data. Website analytics aggregates remain inside Google's platform; we don't export user-level GA4 data to third parties. Polar billing records (email, order ID) are held by Polar on our behalf for tax and accounting purposes.

Retention

Your rights (including EU GDPR)

Email [email protected] to request access, correction, or deletion of any personal data we hold. We respond within 1–2 business days. EU residents retain all GDPR rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
